The municipality of Manilva is known for its beautiful beaches but also a first class marina and the castle, Castillo de la Duquesa, is the figurehead of the city. This town, which is the last on the Costa del Sol to the west, adjacent to Sotogrande in Cadiz province in the east of Estepona. Moreover, it also borders-Casares-y-Estepona, Casares, Manilva which belong to 1796. Outside the beautiful beaches, amenities and cultural attractions, it has an interesting calendar holidays. And furthermore, there is a beautiful golf course and have a beautiful new residential areas. The cuisine of Manilva is based on the Mediterranean diet, with lots of fresh fish and seafood.

In general, we can divede the tourists who come to this nice town into three groups, the people who come to the beach, the wave of tourists and people who come to enjoy nature. On Sunday there is a large market. Go and visit the market!

It is also nice to visit the Castillo de la Duquesa, a restored 18th century fortress where several offices of the City Hall and various exhibitions are organized. Near this castle excavations showing Sabinillas built on the site of a Roman fishing village.

Up along the river Manilva is a magnificent hiking Roman baths which were used later by the Arabs and the Catholics again later left intact. The baths stink a bit to sulfite but nice temperature all year. The hot water flows through the constructed pools and it is surprising to see how fish and frogs can live here very well in this environment with a high content of sulphite. Many visitors find mud on the other side of the stream and cover themselves with it before they bathe in the river or directly into the wash again. The Arabs have these pools, as far as we know, widely used but their stay in this area without knowing why, was not long.

Alternatively, take a short excursion to the village of Manilva yourself, which is known for the white grapes and the wine it produced. The wine is sweet Manilva, as sherry. Try it once surely one of the many bars. After the "Reconquista", the Herve consuming ring of the Catholics of southern Spain, the village of Manilva founded one of the hills along the coast. In this way the people saw the attacks of the Turks and Arab pirates arrive and they could defend themselves better against this.
